Introduction:

Only a vigorous environmental industry can drive down the cost of environmental protection and effectively promote environmental protection goals. In light of this reality, the Commission of National Corporations, Ministry of Economic Affairs assigned the China Steel Corporation the mission of directing reinvestment from other public and private enterprises in the establishment of the China Ecotek Corporation (CEC), which was founded in March 1993.

　Apart from outstanding achievements and the accumulation of technology in electromechanical engineering and environmental engineering projects such as incinerators, water treatment facilities, and waste treatment plants, CEC has gradually expanded into such areas as steam-electricity cogeneration, railways and metro systems, biotechnology, corrosion and leak resistance engineering, and whole-plant turnkey projects. In addition, CEC has also stepped up technological collaboration with domestic and foreign firms as it increasingly moves into high-tech environmental areas.
