What is agro-biodiversity?
Agro-biodiversity is the ‘variety and variability of animals, plants and micro-organisms that are used directly or indirectly for food, livelihoods and incomes, including crops, livestock, forestry and fisheries, and comprising the diversity of genetic resources (species, varieties and breeds) used and sold for food, fodder, fibre, fuel and medicine. Where does TABI work?
The Agro-Biodiversity Initiative (TABI) currently works in villages and districts in three northern provinces of the Lao PDR:
1) Luang Prabang
2) Houaphan
3) Xieng Khouang
